This wealth is explained by the variety of landscapes of the Aude from the Sea to the Mountain (Pic de Madres culminating at 2,469 m), from a Mediterranean climate to a mountain climate.
Where to find them?
As soon as spring arrives, orchids begin to point. In the fields, along the paths or later in the mountains, it is not uncommon to see many species of orchids while hiking!
